About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled and proactive Mid-Level QA Engineer to strengthen our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you'll take ownership of testing activities across the development lifecycle, working closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA engineers to ensure our products are robust, reliable, and user-friendly.

You’ll contribute to both manual and automated testing, mentor junior team members, and help improve the effectiveness of our QA processes. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with solid QA experience who is ready to take on more responsibility and deepen their technical contributions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated).
• Perform thorough testing of features, including functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and exploratory testing.
• Proactively identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira; ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Own regression test cycles and release validations across multiple environments.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or Playwright).
• Write and maintain reusable test scripts for APIs and UI workflows.
• Perform database testing using SQL to validate backend logic and data integrity.
• Assist in improving QA processes, standards, and documentation.
• Provide guidance and peer reviews for junior QA team members.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in software QA (manual and automation).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and SDLC
• Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr).
• Good working knowledge of bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Postman.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
• Basic scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with performance or load testing tools is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) for environment validation.
