The Role

We’re looking for a Project Management Manager to elevate our delivery operations and lead our growing project management team in Nepal. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of process, people, and product execution someone who can bring structure, rigor, and leadership to fast-moving AI projects.

You’ll coach and empower a team of early-career Project Managers, ensuring clear visibility into progress, risks, and resourcing across all product pods. You’ll help define and standardize project management practices that enable Fusemachines to deliver products predictably, transparently, and at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and coach the project management team to improve discipline, accountability, and delivery velocity.

  2. Define and standardize project management practices across Jira, Gantt charts, burndown reports, and sprint reviews.

  3. Build dashboards and visibility mechanisms for leadership to track progress, risks, and dependencies.

  4. Partner with engineering and product leadership to manage capacity planning, resource allocation, and bandwidth balancing.

  5. Drive escalation and risk management processes to resolve blockers quickly.

  6. Introduce and monitor key delivery KPIs — sprint velocity, burn rates, on-time delivery ratio, and milestone predictability.

  7. Collaborate with the Product team to align project tracking with roadmap outcomes and success metrics.

  8. Push for accountability and ownership within technical teams, ensuring commitments are realistic and transparent.

  9. Train and mentor PMs to grow from task-oriented coordinators into proactive delivery leaders.

Ideal Experience & Qualifications

  1. 6+ years of experience in project or program management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  2. Proven experience managing complex software or AI projects across distributed teams.

  3. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, burndown charts, Gantt charts, etc.).

  4. Demonstrated success in improving delivery visibility and process maturity across teams.

  5. Technical fluency — able to communicate effectively with engineers and challenge assumptions when needed. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  6. Experience mentoring or leading junior project managers.

  7. Prior exposure to AI, ML, or data-driven product development preferred.
